About
Welcome to the world’s largest freshwater archipelago, home to a boat-access nature preserve where windswept pines and rocky shoreline give way to forested trails. Hike, swim, or cycle through Georgian Bay Islands National Park and experience one of Ontario’s most unique natural settings.
The park offers a variety of overnight options on Beausoleil Island. Cedar Spring Campground has 45 reservable sites with washrooms, showers, potable water, firepits, picnic tables, food lockers, and charging stations. Accessible sites are also available.
Backcountry camping is available in seven areas, each with 4 to 10 sites. These sites include tent pads or platforms, composting toilets, hibachis, and picnic tables.
Cabins and oTENTiks are also available. Cedar Spring Cabins sleep up to four guests and include BBQs, running water, and power. Christian Beach Cabins are remote cabins for two guests, with potable water and daily ice delivery. The park’s oTENTiks are canvas shelters with beds, located near central amenities. Transportation to the island is included with all cabin and oTENTik bookings. A two-night minimum stay is required.
The park is only accessible by water. Visitors can bring their own boat with a mooring permit, hire a licensed water taxi, or book the DayTripper shuttle service.
Whether you’re staying overnight or visiting for the afternoon, Georgian Bay Islands National Park is a great place to explore trails, relax by the water, and experience island life in Ontario.
