From October 16 to November 7, 2026, Muskoka is hosting Muskoka: Home of the Stars, an astro-tourism event series showcasing the region’s breathtaking night skies.

With 18 stargazing experiences, visitors can enjoy beginner stargazing and astrophotography sessions, guided moon hikes, Indigenous storytelling and smudging ceremonies.  Expert guides will lead each event, offering a chance to connect with the cosmos.

You can also experience Ontario Stargazing’s weekly guided tours under the dark skies of Torrance Barrens in Gravenhurst.  During these fun, informative sessions, you’ll build confidence identifying key constellations and visible planets while developing a deeper connection to the cosmos. Fall Constellations: Stories & Mythologies

Learn about key constellations of October evenings, with a “spooky season” twist. Exploring stories in the sky involving dragons, sea monsters, the “demon star”, and more!
