From Toronto Pearson International Airport and West Toronto:
Take Highway 401 E to Highway 400 N to Barrie.  From East Toronto:  Take Highway 401 W to Highway 400 N to Barrie. Follow through Barrie:

If going to Georgian Bay Township, Honey Harbour, Port Severn and Georgian Bay Islands National Park: Follow Highway 400 N through Barrie, keep right after the Duckworth exit in Barrie. Follow Highway 400 N towards Parry Sound. Do not exit Highway 11 N

If going to Gravenhurst and Muskoka Lakes Township: Follow Highway 400 N through Barrie, keep left after the Duckworth exit in Barrie. Follow Highway 11 N towards Orillia. Do not exit Highway 400 N. Continue on Highway 11 N exit Highway 169 W

If going to Bracebridge and Muskoka Lakes Township: Follow Highway 400 N through Barrie, keep left after the Duckworth exit in Barrie. Follow Highway 11 N towards Orillia. Do not exit Highway 400 N. Continue on Highway 11 N exit Highway 118 W

From Sudbury – Take Highway 69 S towards Parry Sound

If going to Gravenhurst, Bracebridge and Muskoka Lakes Township: Follow Highway 69 S or Highway 400 S to Highway 169 E

From North Bay – Take Highway 11 S towards Huntsville

If going to Georgian Bay Township, Honey Harbour, Port Severn and Georgian Bay Islands National Park: Follow Highway 11 S and exit Highway 141 W follow through Muskoka and exit Highway 69/400 S

If going to Huntsville, Algonquin Park and Lake of Bays Township: Follow Highway 11 S and exit Highway 60 E

Return of Ontario Northlander Train


The Ontario Northlander is set to return in 2026, bringing passenger rail service back to Muskoka with stops in Gravenhurst, Bracebridge and Huntsville. The new service will make it easier for visitors to travel between Toronto and Northern Ontario, strengthening tourism, supporting local businesses and improving connections to the region
