  • Ashley

Get your tickets to SantaFest!

Santa is always busy during the holiday season, but every year he takes a break before his big night to visit with his favourite little fans at his cottage summer home, Santa’s Village.

This year Santa is inviting you to visit him at SantaFest, inside Santa’s Village during the weekends of December 8/9, 15/16 and 22/23. The event will be filled with Santa’s favourite winter activities like gingerbread cookie decorating, face painting, games, Christmas crafts and of course, one last chance to visit with the big guy himself!

The inside scoop on SantaFest

The twinkling lights, cracking fires, and sweet smell of gingerbread aroma is a sure sign that Christmas is right around the corner! Here are a few need-to-knows for your family’s SantaFest trip:

  • Hours of operations: December 8/9,  15/16,  22/23 from 11:00am – 4:00pm
  • Wear your hats, mittens and snow suits, as much of the Christmas fun is outdoors

More family fun in Bracebridge

Your family fun can (and SHOULD) continue all weekend long in Bracebridge!

Your little ones will love The Play Pit, Muskoka’s Indoor Playground. It is a safe, climate controlled environment for children under the age of 10 years old to jump, climb, slide and play. Only a short distance form Santa’s Village, this is the perfect way to exert some energy and continue having the BEST day ever! They are a sock facility, so cover up those twinkle toes.

Or if you want to catch a holiday flick with the kiddos, sit back with a bag of buttery popcorn at the popular Norwood Theatre in downtown Bracebridge. They have weekend matinees at 2pm and nightly showings at 7:15pm. Now playing is the must-see, Dr. Suess’ The Grinch, a holiday film the whole family is sure to enjoy. Get your tickets at the box office.

Where to eat

After working up an appetite on your weekend of family fun, a hearty bowl of homemade soup and a grilled sandwich will be on the agenda. Head to The Old Station for a family friendly dining experience. Kids will love the juicy chicken tenders, classic poutine, and smoked bacon with welsh cheddar macaroni. Adults will relish the warm roasted beet and bacon salad, brie burger, and ‘AAA’ NY strip-loin steak. This restaurant serves up delicious eats in a charming setting. A Bracebridge gem!
