The attention even reached The Tonight Show, where Jimmy Fallon called Muskoka “the most beautiful place on earth.” We’re still blushing.
For those who know and love Muskoka, the show feels familiar: the aerial shots of endless lakes, old cottages, docks, boats and sunsets, and that feeling that a summer in Muskoka can change your life.
And for viewers discovering us for the first time, the best part is that while Sterling Point may be fictional, Muskoka is very real.
For locals and longtime visitors, there are so many fun Muskoka moments to spot throughout the series. The now-famous bridge is at Mortimer’s Point Marina (although the bridge itself isn’t accessible for the public to stand on), along with shots of downtown Port Carling, mentions of Rosseau, Muskoka thrift shopping and, of course, incredible lake views throughout.
We’re incredibly grateful to the cast, creators and production team for choosing Muskoka and showcasing our region to audiences around the world.
1,600 lakes. 100+ places to stay. Just two hours north of Toronto.
Come see why Muskoka might just be the most beautiful place on earth.
