KayJee Funk Takes the Cranberry Plunge

Muskoka’s newest hype crew is getting a lot of attention, and A LOT of laughs!

October 23, 2018 – MUSKOKA ON

If you have yet to see or hear about KayJee Funk, they are a couple of goats that have been parading around Muskoka for the last month. If you have heard about these friendly goats but have questions (totally understandable) we are here to debunk the mystery.

Who are the Goats?

Just a couple of small town goats making it big, these internet sensations gained over 27 thousand views and counting on their first video dancing around landmarks in Gravenhurst. Their claim to fame even earned them a spot on the front page of the local newspaper!

They are just a couple goat friends that go way back together, since they were kids if you will. Both grew up right here in Muskoka, most likely on a farm, with some other nice animals. Looking to do something fun in their community, they set out to spread joy by busting a move across Muskoka.

To answer your burning question, why goats? The answer – why not?

Why are they doing this?

Since they were kids this duo has loved to entertain. Their friendship was clearly meant to be, as they both always wanted to be a mascot and now they are making their dreams a reality!

They have killer dance moves that can’t be contained, and why hold back a good thing when it makes people smile? Plus they find sitting on the couch to be way too boring, and we don’t blame them!

They do have a vision for what they want to do with their new-found stardom, hoping to become one of the area’s most sought after hype crews for events (think Silver Elvis, but with cool dancing moves). They would love to be at your upcoming event to loosen up the crowd and get them ba-ba-boppin’.

You too can take the Cranberry Plunge

KayJee Funk inspired Muskoka Lakes Farm & Winery to extend their Cranberry Plunge by an extra week. Today until October 28 is your last opportunity to experience the Cranberry Plunge in 2018, so hop in the vehicle and make the worthwhile trip to Bala, Muskoka for the ultimate experience (and photo).

Although the Cranberry Plunge wraps up this weekend, Muskoka Lakes Farm & Winery invites guests to visit year-round. Their Bog to Bottle Tour, a Canadian Signature Experience, Ontario Signature Experience and a Muskoka Signature Experience, runs three times daily, 361 days a year.

#CRANROUTE driving tour

Muskoka’s love for cranberries is so strong, there has actually been a culinary route created and dedicated to our beloved berry. All new this year is the Muskoka Cranberry Route, a collection of restaurants, breweries, bakeries and shops that are infusing cranberries into their delicious creations.

Start your #CRANROUTE experience off this weekend at Muskoka Lakes Farm & Winery, taking their farm tour, wine tasting, and of course the Cranberry Plunge. After your time at the farm & winery, take one of the carefully curated #CRANROUTE fall driving tours. You can stick close-by with the Local Bala Experience Tour. Bala is the cranberry capital of Ontario and they are darn proud of it. Local chefs, bakers and even the local grocery store have gotten behind their beloved berry especially during harvest time. This driving tour takes you to all of the town’s hot spots, a local well-known hiking trail, and will leave you with plenty of cranned goodies to take home and enjoy with friends and families.
