The Forest of Light: A Journey of Wonder. Something new has come alive at Sandhill Nursery. This new family friendly activity is a one kilometre magical lit trail through the forest at Sandhill Nursery in Huntsville, Ontario set to sound and light. 

New Culinary Experience: Fire vs. Frost The Culinary Showcase!

Dates include February 20, 27 and March 6.

At the event you can sample “Fire vs Frost” themed appetizers from Huntsville’s top restaurants, including Smoking Hot BBQ, Tall Trees, Rusty Rake and On the Docks Pub. The festival area serves as a focal point, featuring live, alternating performances of dynamic fire artistry and intricate ice carving demonstrations. For comfort, a dedicated “Warmth Zone” offers warming fires and cozy seating to enhance the fiery, social atmosphere.

Your Forest of Light ticket gains you entry to the light trail as well as the four samples and the evening entertainment.

Rusty Rake: S’mores Kit

Smokin’ Hot BBQ: Smoked Cheese Filled Meatballs & Smoked Shotgun Shells stuffed with cheese & meat

Tall Trees: Traditional Hungarian Goulash with Kopytka, sour cream and green onion

Prepare your senses for an immersive experience unlike any other. A path will emerge, winding through the heart of Sandhill, where light and shadow dance in spectacular harmony. What secrets will be illuminated? What stories will the forest tell?

The Rusty Rake Café is open daily from 1 PM – 9 PM, offering a delicious selection of food and drinks.

There is no better place to explore the relationship between light, sound and season than through woodland that’s been there since the beginning of time. Set in the forest of Sandhill Nursery with towering trees, the Forest of Light: A Journey of Wonder connects you to the natural surroundings in a truly profound way. 

Forest of Light: A Journey of Wonder is approximately 1 kilometre from the entrance to the exit. It winds through the field, forest, and back through the garden centre creating a beautiful outdoor experience from start to finish. Please dress warmly and wear suitable footwear for walking outdoors.
