2 Cruises on World-Renowned Georgian Bay

Marvel at Canada’s rugged wilderness aboard the famed Island Queen Cruise and the all new Islander Adventure Tours

With its rugged vistas and historic past, it’s no wonder that Georgian Bay is internationally renowned. By far its most famous feature, however, are its 30,000 islands, which form the largest freshwater archipelago on Earth.

With such vast beauty just begging to be explored, it may seem overwhelming for anyone who might wish to explore.

No need to fear, though, because Island Queen Cruise has got you covered! Thanks to their phenomenal cruises and tour experiences, you’ll gain a whole new appreciation for this stunning slice of paradise, as you head deep into the heart of these extraordinary islands.

Daily Public Cruises

Based out of the Parry Sound waterfront, the Island Queen sets sail twice daily during their cruising season (May to October) and offers two classic cruise experiences:

  • Morning Cruise – enjoy Island Queen Cruise’s original 2-hour sightseeing route. A favourite for many since the 1960s, this tour departs in the morning and jumpstarts your day in Georgian Bay in just the right way.
  • Afternoon Cruise – join Island Queen Cruise for their 3-hour flagship voyage. Following the path of the early explorers, this remarkable route takes you along the rugged shoreline of Parry Island, through the Hole in the Wall, and past Killbear and Massasauga Provincial Parks.

No matter which cruise you choose, you’ll want to have your camera at the ready – you’re going to see some of the most stunning natural landscapes in the world!

Islander Adventure Tours

Now, in 2019, you can venture off the beaten path aboard their brand new 40-passenger vessel, the “Islander,” and take your Georgian Bay experience to a whole new level.

They’re offering four fantastic new tours to experience aboard the Islander, which holds 40-passengers and is also available for private charters.

  • Huckleberry Island Tour – this 2.5-hour, summertime excursion takes you to one of the area’s most popular islands. Once you arrive, a field naturalist will greet you before leading you on a hike through the area’s unique biosphere, which ends at a secluded beach (so bring your swimsuit).
  • Craganmor Point Resort Lunch Tour – this roughly 3.5-hour outing maneuvers guests through Killbear Provincial Park, Rose Island Channel, and the remote Outer Islands of Georgian Bay’s eastern shore on the way to the popular Craganmor Point Resort on McLaren Island. Once there, passengers get roughly an hour on solid ground to explore and, if they’d like, to purchase lunch at the beloved Craganmor Point Resort.
  • Wreck Island Tour – this 4.5-hour experience takes you through the picturesque islands of the South Channel and the Sans Souci area to the historic Wreck Island, where a guide from the Georgian Bay Biosphere Reserve will meet you and lead the group along the Wreck Island Trail.
  • Henry’s Fish Restaurant Lunch Tour – offered on select dates throughout the summer months, this 3-hour cruise takes passengers to Frying Pan Island, where guests get to enjoy lunch amidst the sights and sounds of the spectacular 30,000 Islands.
