About

Join an expert stargazer at Torrance Barrens Dark Sky Preserve this summer!

During these fun, informative sessions, you’ll build confidence identifying key constellations and visible planets while developing a deeper connection to the cosmos.

Tours begin at 9:30pm and the star stories and information portion will run for about 1.5 hours, but after that guests are not only welcome but encouraged to stick around longer, to enjoy more dark sky time, ask questions, or practice finding constellations and continuing to explore the night sky.

Highlights of the June night sky include constellations like Leo and Virgo, and planets including Jupiter, Venus, and Mercury! You can also spot the Summer Triangle, an asterism (a pattern of stars) containing the brightest stars from three different constellations. June also means welcoming warmer nights, the heart of the Milky Way, and the summer solstice!

Adults are $45, Youth 18 and under are $25.
