The members of Slim Pickerel all grew up in Essex County Ontario Canada, just across the river from Detroit, Michigan.
Each member brings a unique musical aesthetic to the band and over the years the band’s grown comfortable jumping genres and mashing up influences. It’s easy to hear multiple influences of Rock, Country, Motown, Soul and Jam Band vibes.
