About
Winter’s Awakening presented by Theatre Muskoka and Muskoka Philharmonic Orchestra.
Sunday November 22, 2026 at 4:00 pm.
The MPO’s Winter’s Awakening offers a rich musical journey tracing the shift from autumn to the holiday season. The first half features moody, atmospheric works by Meyer, Wagner, and Sibelius, while the second half transitions into a festive celebration with Vivaldi’s radiant Gloria (performed alongside the MPO Singers) and seasonal pieces by Rutter and Lauridsen.
The concert concludes with a joyful medley of festive tunes, bringing the evening to a warm and celebratory close. From autumn shadows to winter sparkle, Winter’s Awakening is a musical journey through the changing season.
