Angie Nussey is a Sudbury-born, shaped in Toronto, and now Orillia-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist with eight albums of original music and more than three decades on stage. Her songs blend folk, blues, and a touch of rock — carried by a soulful voice and lyrics that dig into the beauty, humour, and resilience of everyday life.
Muskoka locals might recognize Angie from her energetic cover shows around the region, but at Duke’s, she’ll be sharing her own writing – the eclectic mix of story-driven songs that have earned her national recognition both as a solo singer/songwriter and as a member of the trio Boreal, whose latest album was nominated for three Canadian Folk Music Awards.
