About
White Pine Lodge Algonquin and White Pine Gallery is a majority Indigenous-owned and led nature retreat located in Dwight, near Algonquin Park. This region is the traditional territory of the Algonquin Anishinaabeg, they are committed to bringing forth recognition of the original people of the land by amplifying voices, culture and the creative expression of all Nations through their cabin accommodations, Artisan Gallery, tours and workshops.
As a newly built retreat, White Pine Lodge Algonquin blends modern comfort with a deep connection to nature and Indigenous culture. Their accommodations include luxury cabins inspired by Clan Animals with beautiful forest views. They feature thoughtful designs and features such as in-floor heating, air conditioning, fully equipped kitchenettes, private washrooms and high-speed internet. Arrival is streamlined with contactless check-in, and guests can drive directly to their cabin and park in their designated spot. Guests can also enjoy extra amenities such as EV charging, complimentary firewood, canoes/kayaks to use on a private stretch of the Oxtongue River.
Guests can explore the Artisan Gallery, which features the multimedia works of primarily Indigenous artisans and creators. Guests will also have the opportunity to take part in workshops, guided tours, and demonstrations that share knowledge, stories and traditions.
They offer a range of outdoor activities year-round, such as kayaking and canoeing in the summer and a winding snowshoe trail in the forest during the winter. Their games and books shed also has many activities for guests.
White Pine Lodge Algonquin is conveniently located within walking distance of Henrietta’s Pine Bakery and a short drive from Dwight Beach.
They are committed to treading lightly on the land, creating a space where Indigenous traditions and protocols are honoured and respected. They aim to foster authentic connections and facilitate steps to reconciliation by creating understanding between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples.
White Pine Lodge Algonquin is a place to recharge and connect, learn and grow, and experience the beauty of the land in a deeper, more meaningful way.
