Opened in June 2004, Muskoka Place Gallery showcases fine art by established and emerging artists, and hosts classes, workshops, lectures, retreats, coffeehouses, and events throughout the year. There is always something happening at Muskoka Place Gallery. Stop by to view current exhibitions or participate in a class. Gallery hours are: Mon to Sat, 10am to 5pm. Gayle Dempsey is the artist in residence and Director of the gallery. She is a fourth generation Muskokan who feels a deep connection to the land, the lakes, the beauty and the peace of Muskoka. The gallery is located on land and is open to many proposals from local, national and international artists which make up the majority if selected exhibitions, enabling Muskoka Place Gallery to feature a roster of contemporary and innovative painters of the highest caliber. Muskoka Place Gallery prides itself as a learning community, is home to artists on the 45th ° and features various workshops for all ages, including watercolour and acrylic classes with Susan Ware and other renowned artists, photography, printmaking, movement, music and writing.
