About

For over 30 years, Lowest of the Low have stood as beloved torchbearers of Canadian rock, earning a devoted following through their electrifying live shows, razor-sharp songwriting, and rich harmonies. Their landmark 1991 debut, Shakespeare My Butt, remains one of the most celebrated independent releases in Canadian history, earning Gold status and repeated honours as one of the greatest Canadian albums of all time. Inducted into the Canadian Indie Rock Hall of Fame in 2008, the band’s legacy is firmly cemented–but they’re far from finished.

In a bold effort to assert themselves as a balm for these uncertain times, Toronto’s LOWEST OF THE LOW have decided to do the (almost) unthinkable: give the people what they want. In order to observe the 35th anniversary of their infamous debut SHAKESPEARE MY BUTT…, the band will be performing the album in its entirety at select venues in Ontario over the course of 2026.
