- November 14 – December 21: Join Muskoka Arts & Crafts at MAC ON MAIN, 63 Manitoba Street. MAC ON MAIN will be open regular hours with a special evening shopping event during the Festival of Lights Friday November 21 from 5 – 8 PM. The best gifts are handmade. Learn more
- Nov 15: Christmas Market at Lake of Bays Garden Centre. The greenhouses will be bustling with vendors, as well as a large group of vendors braving whatever weather comes our way in our outdoor vendor space. Learn more
- November 15: Ho! Ho! Ho! Bala Santa Claus Parade will be starting at 1pm . Santa will be at the community center after the parade to meet all the kids! Skating will also be happening across the street at the arena.

- December 12: A Charlie Brown Christmas Music Tribute at the Gravenhurst Opera House. The Sullivan-Parker-Kettlewell Trio performs the beloved award-winning 1965 album soundtrack, A Charlie Brown Christmas.
 The Trio features piano, upright bass, and drums, along with a local children’s choir to perform this best-selling jazz album, bringing the much-loved and cherished holiday music to children and adults everywhere across Ontario. - December 13: Celebrate the holidays with Alberta’s own Jann Arden as she puts her unique spin on the classics you know and love, featured on her 2015 release ‘A Jann Arden Christmas’. Jann will be at Deerhurst Resort. Learn more
- December 19: Celebrate the season with See the Joy, the Muskoka Men of Song’s beloved annual Christmas concert at the Rene Caisse Theatre! This festive evening features performances by Muskoka’s MenFolk, the Makin’ Waves Quartet, Sean Kelly Bursary recipients, guest soloist Frank Berg, and the delightful MMOS School Choir. Come share in the warmth, harmony, and joy of community as Muskoka’s finest voices fill the theatre with the sounds of the season.
- December 20: Train to Santa: The Portage Flyer locomotive and authentic coaches have a thousand lights. Enjoy a cup of free hot chocolate and cookies (while supplies last) and sing along to the carols while you wait to board the train. Once on board, you will gently ride alongside the Muskoka River to The Purser’s Cabin. Santa is waiting to hear “your side of the story”. If you want to stay longer, you can always catch the next train back. Learn more
- December 24: Torchlight Parade at Hidden Valley Ski Area: An annual family-friendly favourite, the Christmas Eve Torchlight Parade can be viewed from the Chalet or the base of the Flying Dutchman. Watch our Snow School instructors and Ski Patrollers descend the Flying Dutchman carrying brightly lit torches in a beautiful procession of lights. Santa even joins in the Parade (you didn’t know he could ski, did you?). There will be children’s activities and live entertainment.
