Year after year, Sherwood Inn hosts a foodie weekend like no other. Craft beer tastings, cooking demos, marché mixer dinner, scrumptious breakfasts and the highlight, a 10-course wine pairing dinner. You read that right, ten courses!
Typically, this event has been held in the fall and sells out quickly, but this year, Sherwood Inn has opened their Culinary Weekend to a spring audience. Taking place March 29 to 31, 2019, this not-to-be missed weekend will impress foodies of all levels.
There is still space to attend. Like the Inn’s previous culinary weekend in Fall 2018, we expect this to be a sold out weekend so book soon.
The Culinary Line-up
To give you a taste of what you can expect, here are some of the daily highlights:
Friday, March 29
The weekend begins with a welcome of cold gin cocktails courtesy of Muskoka Spirits, and craft beer tastings from Muskoka Brewery. Once you’re settled into your room, make your way to the Marché Style Mixer Dinner prepared by the Executive Chefs representing ClubLink Muskoka’s four properties: Sherwood Inn, Rocky Crest Golf Resort, Grandview Golf Club, and the Lake Joseph Club. The evening finishes with S’mores and adult hot chocolate by a roaring bonfire.
Saturday, March 30
Rise and shine with a special breakfast menu of custom omelettes and crepes. In the afternoon, join Sherwood Inn’s Executive Chef José Caneira for a lesson on how to smoke a salmon. Travel further down the property to taste fresh bannock and trout at the fireside along the shore. And finish the afternoon with a sweet treat: Fresh maple sugar on the snow with Forty Creek Old Fashioned!
The main event of the Culinary Weekend takes place Saturday evening: A 10-course meal featuring inspirations from the talented culinary team and wine pairings with Marco Capo from Stem Wines.
Sunday, March 31
The weekend comes to a close with a farewell pancake breakfast before having to finally say goodbye to this culinary adventure.
