Your Guide to Oktoberfest Muskoka

Oktoberfest in Muskoka is back and better than ever this year! With tasty craft brews, live music, and great eats, Muskoka is the place to celebrate all things beer. Drink, dance, eat and sing your heart out October 23rd – 26th! 

Oktoberfest Muskoka is a music, culinary and beer festival that take places each October in participating breweries and restaurants across Bracebridge, Gravenhurst, Huntsville, Lake of Bays, Muskoka Lakes and Southeast Georgian Bay.

Each night, musicians and entertainers perform in participating restaurants and breweries across Muskoka! Participating restaurants provide traditional Oktoberfest features such as Sausages, Pretzels, Potato Pancakes, Sauerkraut, Spätzle and more – all with a Muskoka spin!

The Tapping of the Keg Ceremony will take place at Quality Inn Bracebridge on Thursday, October 23 at 10am. (Free to attend) featuring Dan McCoy on accordion and they’ll have the great folks from Experience Ontario to help tap the keg!

The Oktoberbaus

Hit the open road with Oktoberfest Muskoka’s “OktoberBaus” experience! Collect your complimentary mug and enjoy a fill-up at each of our stops, on the “haus!”

In partnership with the infamous Brew Bus you’ll have a lively afternoon of tours, trivia and laughter.

Seize the opportunity to taste uniquely crafted fall brews, and specialty dishes from Clear Lake Brewing Co., Lake of Bays Brewing Co.’s Bracebridge Barrelhouse, Muskoka Brewery, and Sawdust City Brewing Co.!

With 3 runs to choose from, on Saturday October 25th, this in-person event is perfect for beer enthusiasts looking to experience Muskoka’s local brewery scene, and join in the Oktoberfest spirit! 2025 Oktoberbaus Schedule

Muskoka is making quite a name for itself on the craft beer scene with five of Ontario’s best breweries creating top brews. Be sure to stop in and sample some of their offerings!

During Oktoberfest Muskoka, select breweries will provide tours, partner with local chefs, retail vendors, food trucks etc. to pair their beer with locally sourced products, ingredients and menus.

The Food

Get ready for some eclectic specials and traditional Oktoberfest eats at some  uniquely Muskokan local dining spots. Enjoy soft pretzels with inhouse-made cheddar ale sauce, pretzels and cheese, bratwurst on a bun, rouladen, black forest cake reuben, a schnitzel dinner and so much more to be announced! Wash that down with a 32oz stein of beer to celebrate Oktoberfest the right way. 

Clear Lake Brewing Co.: Come enjoy the daily Oktoberfest Menu – Pea Soup with Crispy Bacon and Buttery Garlic Crouton; Sausage Burger with Cranberry Aioli, sauerkraut, beer cheese and arugula on a pretzel bun; Oktoberfest Platter includes soft Pretzel, Pickle Spears, Beer cheese and dijon mayo.

Lakeside Bala Restaurant: Join Lakeside Bala on either Friday or Saturday for their delicious Oktoberfest-inspired dish, Schweinshaxe (Crispy German Pork Knuckle with Beer Gravy)!

Muskoka Brewery: Taps into the season with German Festbier – available on draft and in 568ml stein-sized cans!
Pair it with Bavarian sourdough pretzels and cheesy beer dip in the taproom, or grab a bite from the smoked BBQ food truck partners, Front St BBQ.

Muskoka Bay Resort-Cliffside Restaurant: Executive Chef Thomas Krieger is German and from the Bavarian region: his dishes will be very authentic!

Slow Roasted Pork Roast with Bread Dumpling and Braised Red Cabbage – $29
They will also have German beer available for sale!

Santa’s Village: Come celebrate with at Santa’s Village Oktoberfest Fest Haus from 6pm to 11pm.  There will be live music and dancing.
Enjoy a Bavarian Buffet featuring Schnitzel, cabbage rolls, sausages, roast chicken, strudel and many more German delights.

Port Carling Legion: Stop at the Port Carling Legion Saturday 6:30pm- 8:30pm enjoy

Sawdust City Brewing Co.: Will be offering Brews: Amber Lager & Fireglow Czech Dark Lager and Schnitzel & Beer feature for the weekend of October 25-27

Rawley Resort: Enjoy the Oktoberfest Menu at Rawley Resort Friday and Saturday.

Farmers Market and Fun Fest: Bringing you a Makers and Farmers Market Saturday, October 25th at the Bala Community Centre, 1008 Maple Ave.   
Drop by and say hi to our local brewers, meet local makers and artisans.

Family Fun at Bracebridge Hall: Celebrate Oktoberfest in Bracebridge from 12 PM – 5 PM at Bracebridge Hall for a festive afternoon of family fun that includes: Family-friendly games for all ages & local live music.

Feral Minks at Bracebridge Hall: Hailing from Kitchener, Feral Minks bring a raw indie rock sound fueled by edgy riffs, haunting synths, and anthemic melodies. What began as Kent Merriam’s solo project during the pandemic has grown into an electrifying Canadian rock band with the addition of seasoned local musicians Algernon Friolet, Jay Hogle, and Ryan Whitney.

Deb Misner Jones at Royal Canadian Legion, Port Carling: Oktoberfest Fun for all ages in Port Carling.
The Royal Canadian Legion will host live Oktoberfest entertainment from 6:15 – 8:30pm.
and guests will have an option to enjoy a Bavarian feast featuring snitzel, bratwurst, coleslaw, potatoes the ever popular Black Forest Cake!!

Happy Wanderers at Royal Canadian Legion Bala, 1011 Maple Ave: Wrap up a fun filled Oktoberfest day on Maple St in Bala, drop by the Bala Legion for live entertainment from the infamous Happy Wanderers between 4 -6pm. 
Brackenrig Butcher will be onsite with Bavarian food favourites noon unitil 6pm and more vendors found in the main hall! 
Be sure to check out the Farmer’s Market and Fun Fest just steps away at the Bala Community Centre 10am – 4pm.
