Birthplace of Summer Theatre in Canada
83 years ago, John Holden brought the first professional summer theatre company to Gravenhurst, truly making the Gravenhurst Opera House the birthplace of summer theatre in Canada. This tradition is thriving today, with over 100 performances set to take the stage in 2017. To celebrate Canada 150, the Gravenhurst Opera House is featuring an all-Canadian summer season lineup. Situated right in the heart of downtown Gravenhurst, this remarkable and historic venue is also the host to many talented musicians throughout the year. Visit their website to see what’s on stage!
