Muskoka Heritage Place – Museum, Pioneer Village and Train is located on 90 acres of natural, unspoiled Muskoka, just 1 km from downtown Huntsville and close to Algonquin Provincial Park.
A working cross-roads community settled circa 1880 to 1910 is authentically recreated with costumed narrators and fun, creative hands-on things to do including candle-dipping, pioneer baking, one-room school house lessons and an open-air coach train ride. Included are First Nations’ encampment, beaver meadow pond, museum, pioneer dwellings, church, blacksmith shop, general store, inn, gardens and farm animals.
