Bala’s Museum with Memories of Lucy Maud Montgomery

Family-owned museum honours author of Anne of Green Gables – Lucy Maud Montgomery – in a lovingly restored 1920’s tourist home where the author spent two weeks in 1922. Admission $5.99 a person / $19.99 a family (limit of four).

Celebrating 25 years!

It seems incredible that Bala’s Museum, the Anne of Green Gables museum, is a quarter of a century old. Come to Bala this summer to be part of the celebrations. For the full story, click here.

Children are offered costumes to wear (bring a camera). See the boat from the Lady of Shallot scene in the “Anne” movie, Mathew’s buggy and LMM’s silver tea set (her wedding present). World-class Anne of Green Gables Gift Shop & Book Store.  Displays show how Bala inspired LMM to write a novel set in Muskoka, “The Blue Castle”
