Whet your appetite with Chautauqua’s annual Flavours of Muskoka event. Bask in the beauty and variety of vintage boats on display at the Summer Vintage Boat Show. Push your body while pleasing your senses at the Limberlost Challenge. Cheer on tub races at DockFest in Huntsville. Or, prepare for pirates (and family fun) thanks to the Muskoka Steamships & Discovery Centre’s Pirate Cruises starting this weekend.

 

Flavours of Muskoka Chautauqua

Prepare your palettes for Chautauqua’s annual Flavours of Muskoka on Thursday, July 4th. Featuring wineries, breweries, and distilleries to provide a bevy of beverages, as well as superb chefs, this yummy event will also have vegetarian and non-alcoholic offerings for guests to nibble on. Throw in some live music for atmosphere and a silent auction for some fun, and you’ve got yourself a recipe for success.

Whether you’re a seasonal or year-round resident of Muskoka, you won’t want to miss out on this superb (and scrumptious) kick off to summer. Plus, funds raised from this event support arts education in Muskoka, which means you get to indulge and give back at the same time!

Summer Vintage Boat Show

Saturday, July 6th, the Muskoka Wharf will be all decked out with some of the most beautiful boats you’ve ever seen. That’s right, the 39th annual Vintage Boat Show is happening in Gravenhurst this weekend from 9am to 4pm. With all kinds of attractions and activities planned, not to mention over 100 boats expected to participate, you won’t believe that admission is FREE!? Motor on over, folks!

Get Active with the Limberlost Challenge

The Limberlost Forest and Wildlife Reserve is a totally cool, privately owned, and exceedingly beautiful spot you’ve got to check out in-person. And Saturday, July 6th, this gorgeous Reserve is promising to literally take your breath away with the Limberlost Challenge. After traversing trails that test your agility, speed, and more, you’ll get to end the day with a meal so good that they promise you’ll want to “write home about it.” What are you waiting for!? Rotary DockFest

Get ready for a tub-tastic time at the 7th annual Rotary DockFest, this Saturday, July 6th. Kicking off around 11am with a bathtub parade on Main Street Huntsville, the day promises food and fun for everyone. Afterward, the first of the Bathtub Derby’s three races begin at 12pm – and its a sight you’ve got to see! Facing all kinds of obstacles, participants furiously maneuver their tubs towards the finish line in hopes of being the winner.

Pirate Cruises

Shiver your timbers and prepare to be boarded – there are pirates in these waters! This weekend is the first of the Muskoka Steamship & Discovery Centre’s special kids cruises for the summer . So, if you’re looking for family fun, look no further!
