For the week of December 17 – 23, 2018

There are so many things to do and exciting events in Muskoka year-round, and these are just a few of the highlights for this week. For more recommendations, visit the things to do and / or events section on our website.

Live concerts and Charles Dickens take centre stage, a new art exhibit opens, and Santa makes one last stop in Muskoka. ‘Twas the week before Christmas!

Two concerts will be hitting the stage and come highly recommended, A Next Generation Leahy Christmas and The Celtic Tenors. Both of these shows will show off some exceptionally talented musicians. Art lovers ought to check out the newest exhibit titled Winter White at the Eclipse Art Gallery. An ode to the cold, this exhibit features the work of many talented Canadian artists.

Families, tis the season to catch a magical train ride to see Santa at A Portage Flyer Christmas. You will have to bundle up for the open aired train ride to Santa, but trust us, the magic in the air makes it all worth it.

Also, don’t forget this is the last weekend for Santafest at Santa’s Village. Saturday, December 22 from 11am – 6pm, and Sunday, December 23 from 11am – 4pm. Bring the kiddies for Santa’s final Muskoka stop before he heads back to the North Pole.

A Portage Flyer Christmas

Admission is $5 per person and must be purchased the night of. We suggest you wear your snowsuit because the train coaches are open-aired.
