Support a great cause and save the tax at the Mitts & Mingle Shopping Event fundraiser, happening on Thursday December 13, 2018 from 4pm – 7:30pm at The Shipyards Muskoka Marketplace. This is a ticketed event ($20 per person) and all sales go towards providing gifts of warmth for children in the community. You can expect TAX-FREE shopping, wine tasting, prizes throughout the night, and sweet and savoury snacks. Get your tickets at The Market Mews, Muskoka Bay Clothing, or Campus Crew at The Shipyards.
Arrowhead Provincial Park
Arrowhead Provincial Park opens for the winter season this Friday, December 14, 2018. Renowned as Muskoka’s winter playground, there are endless opportunities to explore this winter wonderland by ski, snowshoe, tube and ice skates. Afterwards, warm up by the fireplace in their brand new visitors centre. The park is open from 9am – 5pm daily and often reaches capacity on weekends, so if at all possible go midweek.
There is already a great base of snow in Muskoka so expect the cross country ski and snowshoe trails to be open when the park opens this weekend. The ever popular ice skating trail will need a few more weeks of cold, ice making temperatures before it opens for the season, but the park expects it to be open by the end of December.
