The Ice Skating Trail is open as of January 3, 2026. The Fire and Ice nights will happen Fridays & Saturdays, STARTING JANUARY, 2027, weather dependent.
You can reserve your permit for Fire and Ice Nights up to five (5) days in advance of your visit. When reserving your permit, make sure you select the “Day Use + Fire and Ice Evening Skate” option.

This 1.3 km fairy-tale skate through the Muskoka forest is already a must-do, but the experience reaches another level when the sun goes down, and the trail is lit up by hundreds of tiki torches.
The aptly named Fire & Ice nights at Arrowhead Provincial Park have become extremely popular over the years. Many skaters who have tried the now-famous skating trail return to Huntsville for this magical skate under the stars.

Mark your calendars, and plan to visit during one of the 2027 Fire & Ice nights happening Friday & Saturdays starting mid January 2027, weather permitting. These nights are expected to be busy, so book your tickets in advance.
All Fire & Ice nights run from 6 pm – 9 pm. Please note that on Fire & Ice nights, the skating trail is closed for maintenance from 5 pm until 6 pm.
