Everyone is welcome to Huntsville’s free all-ages event celebrating National Indigenous Peoples Day 2019 with the Juno award-winning and critically-acclaimed Digging Roots! Starting at 6:30pm, John Rice, Zahgausgai/Mukwa, 3rd Degree Midewiwin is the Master of Ceremonies. With their fourth visit to Huntsville, is crowd-favourite Wasauksing School’s Little Spirit Singers led by Deina Bomberry to 7 pm. Digging Roots performs from 7pm to 8pm. Come on out and enjoy local living indigenous culture, have some fun and learn some really important stuff about where we live. Dress for the weather for this outdoor concert. Bring a friend, your family, lawn chairs or blankets and picnics. Pack it in; pack it out! This event does not have vendors and is not licenced. This is a drug-free and alcohol-free, zero-waste community event. **Rain location: Algonquin Theatre (**limited indoor theatre seating for 400, theatre doors will open at 6 pm, watch huntsville.ca social media for updates. Note, no blankets/chairs or picnics are allowed in the theatre if rain location used, sorry!)
