Food is our passion and we are determined to serve you the most authentic and freshest menu in town. Taste is what it’s all about! Our name Rende, comes from a small village outside the capital city of Cosenza the capital of Calabria. In 1967, my father Orlando opened Rende Bakery in Toronto and specialized in Double Baked Calabrese Bread and it was a major hit all over the city.
My mother Lina enjoyed the kitchen as well, cooking up the tastes of Napoli for our family like pasta frittata & espresso infused desserts in her Calabrese cuisine. My Grandma started it all and that’s why I think it’s important to continue her tradition. The pictures on our walls show the cultural history of my family and our love for food. Every recipe has been carefully chosen and is plated as if my own Grandma Angela was preparing it for my family and I. Her kitchen was her office and her passion would be to feed you until you were stuffed.
