Zachary Lucky & Li'l Andy Live at the Saloon
ome check out this strong country & folk double bill at the saloon.
Zachary Lucky truly is the bread and butter of the massive Canadian folk scene. With an emphasis on songwrtiting and an ear for delicate arrangements – Lucky’s songs will haunt you. He is based in Saskatoon and is the grandson of Canadian country music legend Smilin’ Johnny Lucky.
Over the past eight years, Li’l Andy has earned a reputation as Canada’s foremost practitioner of country music for the thinking man. The new album builds on the dark, brooding sound Andy perfected on 2011’s, All Who Thirst Come to the Waters, which lead The Village Voice to proclaim: “This is Roots-based Americana that actually deserves to be made.”
