Welcome to the Algonquin Theatre! The Algonquin Theatre officially opened its doors on May 14, 2005 to a full house of Theatre supporters. Opening week was filled with excitement as a vision was being realized in Huntsville. As you stroll along the Historic streets of downtown Huntsville you will have the opportunity to view the breathtaking bronze statue of Tom Thomson, created by local sculptor Brenda Wainman-Goulet. This is a piece of history incorporated within the Civic Square illustrating the Town’s motto “touch the past, embrace the future”. The space is for the many, not the few and the theatre strives to be the venue of choice for area events, attractions and meetings.
