Muskoka is a trail-walker's paradise, with over 40 public trails throughout the region. Muskoka's dynamic topography offers trails to suit any skill, from an easy stroll to a rewarding hike, and any distance from one kilometre loops to trails up to forty kilometres one way.
Most of Muskoka's trails are all-season and many are multi-use, covering a range of activities from hiking and biking to skiing and snowshoeing. And of course, the longest multi-use trail system in the world, the Trans-Canada Trail, passes right through the heart of Muskoka with sections in Gravenhurst, Bracebridge and Huntsville.
There are also many Accommodations and Attractions in Muskoka who have trails on their property for guests to use.
Throughout our Towns and Townships there are many public trails avaialble for a variety of activities. Below you will find a list of some of the trails in each area as well as some links for further information and maps.
Gravenhurst Trails
Brydon Bay Trail: Old Portage Rd. 2.3 km, easy.
Chamberlain Trail: Muskoka Road N. 3 km, moderate.
Cooper’s Falls Trail: Cooper’s Falls Rd. 8 km one way, moderate to challenging.
Devil’s Gap Trail: Muriel Crescent. 6-40 km one way, moderate.
Kahshe Barrens Trail: Muskoka Tourism Visitor Centre, Hwy 11. Up to 6 km loops, moderate.
Old Stone Road Trail: Muldrew Lake Rd. 6 km one way, moderate.
Hahne Farm Trail: Bethune Dr. 2-5 km loops, moderate.
Cooper’s Falls Trail: Cooper’s Falls Rd., Cooper’s Falls or District Rd. 6, Housey’s Rapids. 8.0 km out & back, moderate to difficult.

Cranberry Marsh Trails: Cranberry Rd., Bala. 1.5-5.0 km loops, easy to moderate.
Hardy Lake Provincial Park Trail: Hwy 169, between Gravenhurst & Bala. 3.0 km loop, 8.0 km loop or 7.0 km out & back, easy to moderate.
Hazlewood Trail: Ferndale Rd., Port Carling. 2.5 km one way, moderate.
Huckleberry Rock Lookout Trail: Hwy 118, Muskoka Lakes. 3.5 km out & back, moderate.
Raymond Trail: Skelton Lake Rd., Utterson. 3.5 km one way, moderate.
Skelton Lake Fish Hatchery Trail: Fish Hatchery Rd., Utterson. 1.0 km loop, easy
Torrance Barrens Trail: Southwood Rd., Torrance. 2.5 km loop with 2.5 - 3.5 km additional loops, moderate.
